Igors Buimisters Chairman of the Council

Igors Buimisters tied up his life and career with JSC “Trasta Komercbanka” in 2000, first becoming a vice-president of the Bank and later, in 2006, Chairperson of the Council. Today Igors Buimisters is the major shareholder of JSC Trasta Komercbanka.
Igors Buimisters was born in 1964 in Kharkov city (Ukraine). He graduated from Riga Civil Aviation Engineering Institution as a radio engineer and obtained a doctor’s degree in treasury management at Kennedy-Western University, USA. After he had worked as an engineer in the Research Institute of VEF factory for a couple of years, Igors Buimisters turned to financial industry and gained wide practical experience in the sphere of financial planning and regulation of exchange activities. In 1991, I. Buimisters became the vice-president of the Universal Exchange “Latvian Trade House”; in 1992 – deputy general manager of the United Baltic Exchange; in 1994 – manager of the representative office of the company “Dialogue – Optimum” in Latvia, which deals with rendering of financial services in the territory of the former USSR; in 1998 – Chairperson of the Shareholder Council of JSC “Financial Company Parex Capital Ukraine” specializing in operations of the stock market of Ukraine.
The stored knowledge now successfully assists I. Buimisters in financial counseling which he provides to other entrepreneurs. I. Buimisters is a consultant of the supervisory councils of the companies “Devon” (deals with mining of hydrocarbon materials in Ukraine) and “Neftgas - Ukraine” (engineering projects in the field of oil and gas pipe building). In 2005, with his active participation, the non-governmental organization - Latvian-American Financial Forum was established, which contributed to the improvement of economic relations between Latvia and the USA. Now, the organization has been transformed into the Association of Latvian Private Banks, whose main purpose is develop Latvia into the financial hub of the Baltic Region.

Charles Edward Treherne, an expert in the real estate business, came to Latvia led by interest in emerging markets. In 2001, Charles Treherne was elected to the Council of JSC “Trasta komercbanka”.
Charles Edward Treherne was born in 1968 in Great Britain. He obtained the certificate of a property agent at the University of Reading, specializing in the management of residential property. Working for the chartered surveyor John German, UK, Charles Treherne gained valuable experience as a property agent and manager of letting property portfolio. He also headed a department in the property company “Whiteway House Developments” (1986-87).
Since 1993 Charles Treherne has worked as an international business consultant for Eastern European clients in the sphere of banking, real property investment, agricultural products, metal and gas. Since 1998 he has been the manager of the Eastern European department of the company “Business Promotions International Limited” (UK), where he continues his professional activity of investing in real property. Besides, Charles Treherne is an infrastructure management specialist and provides consultations on investigation of market, prospective clients and cooperation partners. Charles Treherne actively participated in the foundation of the risk capital company “Airone Investments” aimed at improving of investment opportunities in the Eastern Europe.
